WEEK 15 (FYP 2)

WEEK 15
Presentation Day

Today is my last week for my FYP 2 project that I presented my video presentation on 4 August 2020. All student required to present online on Microsoft Team and will video call with assessor. Student divided into 10 groups, and I am in-group 10, my assessor being Dr. Abdul Malik  Bin Mohd Ali and Mr. Abdul Rashid Bin Othman, senior UniKL BMI lecturer. My presentation is given on 9.00am until 12.00pm and each student is given 10 minutes for video presentation and 5 minutes for questioning by the assessor. Figure below is about my presentation:

After presentation

Since  all student finished their final year project, they need to submit FYP claim form to their supervisor, that can claim Rm500 maximum. So overall for my project is RM634.69 and I submitted the claim form with receipt to Madam Azliza.

WEEK 14 (FYP 2)

WEEK 14
Creating slide and Video

I produced my slide this week for my online presentation, which required students to record their presentation and display their results on videos. All video recording required a time limit of 10 minutes maximum and they will present online on 4 August 2020 but just only play the videos. After that, student also need to show their face when recording the videos and the figure below is my presentation video that I recorded:

WEEK 13 (FYP 2)

WEEK 13

Final Year Project Report (Chapter 5)

On week 13, i started on chapter 5 that is conclusion and recommendation for overall of Robotic Arm with The Hand Motion prototype. The project is successfully archived the objective and target to lifting the object by using hand motion, so the theory is proved.

I submitted my report to Madam Azliza after completing all chapters from chapter 1 to 5 to test my plagiarism that needed 20 per cent and below. Therefore, I get 20 per cent for second test after repairing my study.

WEEK 12 (FYP 2)

WEEK 12

Final Year Project Report ( Chapter 3 & 4 )

I am thoroughly focus this week on chapters three, four and five of the FYP report. Chapter 3 is methodology, which is this chapter, it is already complete for FYP 1 last semester so I need to change a little bit because I have updated to FYP 2 already. The first part I changed is schematic diagram as figure bellows.

Schematic Diagram for Transmitter and Receiver

After that, I created a table to list the price of my project for my whole component, which needed the report to be placed on. I can measure for the entire budget I spend on this project by listing the price and overall it is RM 597.19.

Chapter 4 is about the outcome and discussion that I need to clarify the flow for my outcome and demonstrate the evidence in photo. I had successfully archived my target and objectives for my project, which can be raise any object by using hand motion. The photo below is for my chapter 4 and I will be showing my result in photo.

Chapter 4 on My Report

The Result For My Project

The robotic arm moved up when get the upward motion

The robotic arm moved down when get the downward motion

The robotic arm's gripper opened when get the rightward motion

The robotic arm's gripper closed when get the leftward motion

WEEK 11 (FYP 2)

WEEK 11

Testing Robotic Arm

I checked the robotic arm movement on week 11 after solving the problem, and placed the circuit on the hand motion controller. I used rider's glove to make wearing and using it simpler for users. I have not had the punch to make hole on the circuit board since the MCO. Therefore, I chose to stitch the circuit and battery on the glove. I tested the robotic arm after that and it is functioning as expected. The robotic arm followed my movement of the hand, for example, I raise my arm up and the robotic arm will move up too. I put the box on the robotic arm to make secure when the object lifted, and the box must be heavier than the robotic arm. The table below shows the movement of the robotic arm based on hand motion.

WEEK 10 (FYP 2)

WEEK 10

Tested Circuit and Robotic Arm

I checked my circuit this week, either its working or it has some problem because I am already taking my robotic arm chassis at Global Electromech Sdn Bhd. This project result is 100% on prototype and need to prove it. The price of the chassis for the robotic arm is RM389.00 because I select steel material to improve consistency and strength. The gripper designed to use the grip gear, which can hold any object securely while lifting. The robotic arm need to use direct current because it is using more power and not enough for just using battery.

After that, I checked my circuit board to see if the circuit was working or problem. The circuit is work but the motion sensor was not detected and the AT mega became hot. I evaluated the part and the program, and then identify the problem on the IC AT mega. Luckily, I had spare part on every component that in case for any trouble.
